This privacy policy applies to the website chipmates.ai, the company site of ChipMates gemeinnützige GmbH. It is a plain information site: no accounts, no sign-in, and no embedded application. Our handling of data is correspondingly minimal.

Hosting and access data

When you open this website, our host Cloudflare processes technical access data. This includes the IP address, the time of access, the address requested, the amount of data transferred, and details of your browser and operating system. This data is needed to deliver the page and to keep the service secure and stable. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure and functioning website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare processes this access data as technical log data and deletes it after a short time.

Cookies and browser storage

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or tracking tools. It stores no personal data in your browser either. Only Cloudflare may set technically necessary cookies for security. The details are in our cookie policy.

Fonts

The typefaces used on this website are served from our own server. There is no connection to Google Fonts or any other provider, and no data is transferred to third parties for them.

Getting in touch

If you write to us by email, we process the information you provide, that is your email address, any name, and the content of your message, in order to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR where a contract is being prepared or performed, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). We keep these messages for as long as is needed to deal with them and delete them afterwards, unless statutory retention periods apply.

Processors and transfers outside the EU

For hosting and delivering this website we use Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare provides hosting, a content delivery network, and protection against attacks, and processes the access data on our behalf. Data may be transferred to the USA in the course of this. The safeguards are the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the following rights towards us:

Data protection officer

We are not legally required to appoint a data protection officer and have therefore not appointed one.

No automated decision-making

We use no automated decision-making and no profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
